Dubai's Plan To Outlive Oil

Located on the Persian Gulf and popularly known as the City of Gold, Dubai has emerged as one of the richest cities in the world in the recent years.


For a city with the most improbable geographics, Dubai has set an example for the whole world through its stunning growth from a sleepy Gulf port to a world famous business centre. Most people would think that after the discovery of black oil in Dubai in 1966, the GDP would be majorly dominated by revenue from this resource. Surprisingly, oil accounts for less than one percent of Dubai’s GDP today!
